Junior Account Manager for Brooklyn Neon Art & Sign Studio

Let There Be Neon is an art gallery, sign fabrication and installation studio in Brooklyn, NY. We build custom illuminated, small and large-format signage for restaurants, retail brands, film productions, schools, and artists.

We're looking for a Junior Account Manager to handle incoming sales and keep jobs organized.

This is a learn as you go position. We don't expect you to know neon walking in, but we expect you to want to learn it!

On any given day that might mean fielding customer calls and email inquiries, compiling project details, drafting proposals, keeping projects organized in our database, and coordinating with production / billing to move jobs along.

A big part of the job is communication: knowing who you're talking to and adjusting, whether an art client, a store owner, an electrician, or a project manager. Expect to work closely with senior staff and know when to pass something off to the right person.

The position also calls for managing our social media outreach by creating engaging stories to enhance our brand. And if you have the right skills, you will help us manage our neon art gallery!

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in sales, customer service, or a design or fabrication-adjacent role, or a sharp recent grad eager to learn
• A people-person who can read a room and talk to anyone, from art clients to store owners to electricians and GCs
• A clear, warm speaker and writer who enjoys working with people
• Can take a rough idea and turn it into a clean proposal or email
• Organized and reliable, comfortable juggling a lot of active projects at once
• Solid on follow-through, so quotes and follow-ups don't fall through the cracks
• Knows what they don't know, and asks the senior staff
• An optimistic team player who pitches in on the small stuff, from shipping labels to rental prep to lending a hand on production

Bonus if you have

• Any exposure to signage, fabrication, or the design world
• Familiar with project management tools (Monday.com, CompanyCam, QuickBooks, etc.)
• Customer service or client-facing sales experience
• An interest in neon, art, electronics, and custom fabrication
