Frame Finisher for High End Frame Shop

Griffin Editions is a Brooklyn based company that offers printing, mounting, and framing services for museums, galleries, and high-profile artists from around the world.

We are seeking a full-time employee in our finishing department.

This role will be critical in production workflow, sanding and preparing frames for finishing.

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, shop maintenance, orbital and hand sanding.

Applicants with previous woodshop / finishing / spray-booth / HVLP spray gun experience are highly encouraged to apply. Candidates will have the opportunity to take on hand finishing, spraying primer, and applying finish coats as the position develops. We produce a wide range of custom hand-applied finishes so it is preferred that you have a keen eye for color and can mix paint to match. The ability to work collaboratively with a small team is of utmost importance.

Job requirements include:

-   orbital sanding

-   hand sanding

-   woodshop / spray room maintenance

Desired skillsets:

-   HVLP spraying: primer and finish coatings

-   color mixing and matching

-   finishing experience

-   carpentry experience

-   commercial painting experience
