Aiston Fine Art Services is an expanding fine art transportation, logistics, and storage company founded in 2002 in the Long Island City area looking for skilled, responsible, and experienced candidates.
Our office is seeking a dedicated Logistics Manager to join our team. This is an opportunity to work closely with art professionals and contribute to the smooth operation of our business.
Position: Logistics Manager
Location: Long Island City, NY
Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily logistics operations, including scheduling, dispatch, and crew coordination.
- Supervise and lead a team of technicians, ensuring efficiency and adherence to handling and transport protocols.
- Act as a primary point of contact for logistics-related client communication, including scheduling and updates.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to support logistics, transportation, and warehouse operations.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with industry regulations, including DOT and safety requirements.
- Manage employee scheduling, payroll tracking, and overall team organization.
- Oversee the maintenance of company trucks, equipment, and facilities, ensuring operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and data entry related to logistics and operations.
- Track expenses, petty cash, and material ordering to support smooth day-to-day functioning.
- Proactively identify and resolve logistical challenges, ensuring seamless execution of projects.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in fine art transportation or a related industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems for scheduling and tracking.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and filing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
