The Audio/Video Editor in the Media Production department plays a key role in supporting digital media requests and capturing archival recordings of the important work performed here at The Juilliard School.
This role edits audio and video of student performances, creating the media that will be delivered directly to the student as well as to JMedia, Juilliard’s archive. The ideal candidate has experience working hands-on with video and audio editing software (Adobe Premiere and ProTools experience required) and has a musical background as well.
Students and the institution utilize Media Production’s services for auditions, competition submissions, personal archives, and other projects. The Audio/Video Editor reports to the Director of Media Production and collaborates directly with other key members of the Media Production team.
The salary is $18.50 per hour (20 hours per week for 40 weeks) or a contracted amount of $14,800 for the school year. The schedule is determined in collaboration with the supervisor and may include opportunities for remote work; however, on-campus presence is expected as per the agreed-upon schedule.
About our team: The Media Production team serves the Juilliard community through the planning and operation of performance livestreams on Juilliard LIVE, creation and distribution of on-demand media, executing and delivering student recording sessions in the Juilliard Recording Studio, providing digital archival media to JMedia archives, and more.
