The Access Programs team in the Department of Learning and Engagement is looking to hire temporary support staff to assist with Access Programs at The Museum of Modern Art.
This is a 6-month hourly temporary position, from August 27, 2025 – February 27, 2026.
MoMA offers a variety of free programs to increase the accessibility of the Museum for a range of audiences, including individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, individuals who are blind or have low vision, individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, individuals with mental health conditions, and older adults.
Experience: Working with individuals with disabilities, working with individuals of all ages in an informal learning environment, and/or front-facing hospitality. Experience and knowledge of preparing supplies and/or art making materials for varied populations, particularly those with disabilities. An interest in or knowledge of modern and contemporary art.
Skills: Communicates effectively. Enthusiastic about working with the public. Understanding of the social model of disability, ability to attend to the difference between an individual’s health condition and the environmental or attitudinal barriers that present a disabling experience.
Qualities: Outgoing, personable, organized, and punctual.
Hours: 3-5 hours/week*
*Includes weekend, weekday, and evening work. Hours/week will vary with program schedule.
Pay: $26.75 per hour
