Art Handler / Installer

Acumen International is looking for a full-time art handler.

Ideal candidate will possess previous experience of art handling within galleries, museums or in art transport; must have knowledge and experience in industry standards in installing, packing and handling Fine Art.

Applicant must have a valid drivers license and be confident in driving a box truck within New York City and tri-state area. (Non CDL Position)

Must be able to lift 50 pounds, show attention to detail when filling out paperwork, and work well as a team member.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of experience. Familiarity in a variety of contexts including: art fairs, artist studios, galleries and private residences. Knowledge of industry crating procedures and rigging is a plus.

We are looking for someone who is capable of interacting closely with high priority clientele on a daily basis.

This is a full time position which includes 8 regular daily business hours (Monday through Friday) as well as overtime calculated daily .

Salary will commensurate with experience. The position is available immediately.
