BALLROOM BASIX USA, Inc.(BBX) is a New York City based arts nonprofit seeking a purpose-driven, detail-oriented Development Coordinator. This is a growth‑track role with the opportunity to advance to Development Manager, depending on performance outcomes. We are committed to providing mentorship and hands-on experience to help achieve collective strategic goals.
The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of development experience and is motivated to expand their expertise across the full spectrum of fundraising functions to support our transformative mission that brings our “fun, fitness & fancy footwork” of non-competitive Ballroom & Latin partner dancing to schoolchildren and seniors across all 5 boroughs of New York City.
The Development Coordinator will collaborate with the Executive/Artistic Director and a dedicated leadership team including a Media/Marketing Manager, Operations Manager, Program Manager, Outreach Manager, as well as support staff and interns. The work will include organizing fundraising campaigns, leading donor cultivation and stewardship efforts, analyzing and updating our donor database and routine grant research.
The Development Coordinator will thrive on building authentic relationships and can confidentially engage with stakeholders at every level—from our dedicated volunteers to prospective donors to corporate partners. This person enjoys staying engaged by handling multiple projects simultaneously, often with other team members.
