About The Art Studio NY: Founded in 2004, this #1-rated art school on The Upper West Side is dedicated to making art accessible to people of all ages (2-102) and backgrounds (total beginners included) in New York City and around the world. Through 100+ weekly art classes in person and online, we help people to discover joy, stress relief, improved mental health and meaning through the transformational power of art.
SEEKING a self-motivated, highly organized, disciplined and results-driven Studio Operations Coordinator for successfully overseeing and implementing day-to-day processes and operations to ensure the business runs smoothly and successfully. The ideal candidate is reliable, a doer, and an expert communicator who excels in putting ideas into structured, detail-oriented systems with operational checks and balances. Execution driven, you have superb leadership qualities with a strong ability to delegate responsibility and collaborate with a range of personalities within a diverse team of art educators. The Studio Operations Coordinator will manage a range of daily operations, including private event communications and coordination, scheduling, staff development, enhance efficiency, nurture relationships with students, problem solving, and meet registration objectives, all while leading by example by setting and reinforcing high standards and integrity for the work team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise daily business operations through structured systems and processes to ensure the business runs smoothly
- Oversee employee performance, scheduling and logistics, programming, customer success, client communication and sales communication
- Motivate a multi-faceted team through leadership, communication, accountability, and performance metrics
- Implement ideas with detail, systems, and operational checks and balance
- Lead team communication and customer service
- Create, analyze and track team projects and ensure due dates are met
- Improve efficiency, maintain studio organization and inventory management
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and assessment and implementation of employee needs
- Manage conflict and solution-oriented problem solving, and tackle challenges systematically
- Collaboration with leadership team
- Participate in achieving class fill rate goals, retention and sales goals
- Data reporting and analysis
- Ongoing collaboration with leadership team

- Degree or proven experience in team management or arts administration with at least 4 years of successful experience

- Successful track record of 6-figure sales and business revenue growth

Schedule: Requires flexibility, daily schedule varies. This is not a 9 - 5 business.
This role requires availability on 1 weekend day and 1-2 evenings weekly. Local travel within Manhattan on occasion.
