BOMB’s Oral History Project (OHP) is dedicated to collecting, documenting, and preserving the stories of distinguished visual artists of the African Diaspora. Beginning in 2021, OHP focus cities were expanded to include New Orleans, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. The project seeks an Oral History Assistant to aid in completing several procedural and editorial tasks.
The ideal candidate has training in oral history methodology and practice, knowledge of contemporary visual arts with a degree in Art History, American Studies, Black Studies, or Literature and is attentive to detail, researching the contemporary art landscape, and able to do preliminary fact-checking.
