ABOUT THE POSITION
Symphony Space seeks a dynamic full-time Marketing Assistant. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Assistant is an integral member of an eight-person marketing team. This is an ideal entry-level position for a person with a passion for the performing arts and a creative and collaborative spirit.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Generate social media content, schedule posts across multiple social platforms, build Facebook events, and place Meta ads
● Build all pre-show emails via email marketing platform
● Manage customer texting system
● Create and distribute weekly social media marketing reports
● Monitor watchpage and chat room during livestream events
● Build digital program books in CMS system
● Coordinate photographers for events
● Process Marketing department expenses
● Proofread/edit all marketing materials
● Selected Shorts Radio/podcast listening
● Attend live performances and events as needed
● Additional administrative duties as needed

The Marketing Assistant is a Full-Time hybrid position working Tuesdays through Fridays 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. The Marketing Assistant will work onsite for two in-person days per month with the Marketing team at the Symphony Space offices, as well as for periodic Staff Onsite days as needed. All other hours will be remote. The Marketing Assistant will be asked to join several Zoom meetings throughout the week, including an All-Staff meeting, marketing department, social media, and check-in meetings, as well as other meetings as needed, depending on department and Symphony Space activities.
