Position Summary
JSA/MIXdesign, a mission-driven human-centered architecture firm, is seeking an articulate, visually literate, and highly organized Marketing and Research Associate to support a wide range of strategic initiatives. This role centers on three core areas of responsibility—each requiring exceptional verbal, writing, editorial, and graphic design skills:
- Business Development + Marketing + Outreach: Creating compelling materials that support proposals, fundraising, public engagement, and brand identity across digital and print media.
- Disseminating Research and Raising Awareness: Supporting the publication and public presentation of the firm’s work through writing, editing, visual storytelling, lectures, interviews, and media relations.
- Conducting Research + Writing Inclusive Design Reports: Participating in inclusive design projects by conducting research, organizing participatory engagement, and synthesizing findings into well-crafted reports and guidelines.
This is a hybrid position: work is distributed between remote and in-person work at our NYC office, with the specific combination to be determined. A flexible or fixed daily schedule can be arranged in consultation with the successful candidate.
The role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact in a growing and influential design practice focused on equity and accessibility in the built environment.
