Anton Kern Gallery is looking for a dedicated and experienced new team member in client services, specializing in post-sales logistics, to manage billing and coordination of artwork shipments to clients after each sale. This position is highly focused on fine art shipping logistics, therefore, previous experience in this arena is essential.
The Post-Sales Registrar is responsible for ensuring an exceptional post-sale experience for the gallery’s clientele, while maintaining accurate internal record-keeping and orderly storage and release of works sold from the gallery, external projects, and international art fairs.
Responsibilities include:
— Artwork invoicing and confirming receipt of payment
— Providing shipping quotes and options to clients
— Coordinating shipment of all artworks sold from exhibitions, art fairs, etc. Billing for shipping reimbursement when required.
— Interdepartmental liaison for the sales team
— Sending clients certificates of authenticity, working in tandem with the Archive department to provide artwork documentation and information packages on artists and artworks sold
— Working with the Registrar to maintain orderly artwork storage
— Maintaining sales records
Requirements:
— Previous NY or LA gallery experience
— Previous warehouse, dispatch, artwork shipping experience highly preferred
— Exceptionally organized, detail oriented, and able to multitask
— Excellent customer service / communication skills, both verbal and written
— Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work autonomously and proactively
— Advanced Mac proficiency
— Proficiency in Artlogic or equivalent database
— Knowledge of contemporary art, studio practices, and materials
Salary commensurate with experience. Full benefits after trial period. This is a 4 day work week position with a schedule of Tuesday to Friday.
