"Beyond Interface and Prompt" Group Exhibition

Beyond Interface and Prompt is a forthcoming juried multimedia exhibition exploring technology as a dynamic artistic medium. We invite artists across disciplines to consider how digital interfaces, AI, and interactive systems reshape creative expression and audience perception. This exhibition emphasizes artworks that transcend traditional boundaries—going beyond screens and text prompts—to create innovative and experimental experiences, redefining the essence of artmaking.

We welcome submissions in all mediums, prioritizing works integrating technology in concept or execution. Eligible mediums include tech-driven installations, interactive art, mixed reality, AI-generated art, 3D printing, audiovisual environments, and experimental artforms with technology at their core. Selected artists are eligible for up to $1,500 in creative awards.

The exhibition is hosted at the Williamsburg Art & Historical Center (WAH Center), a historic landmark dedicated to merging its rich legacy with contemporary art innovation, celebrating the ongoing dialogue between tradition and technological advancement.

Entry form: Complete Entry Form, incomplete forms will not be considered.

Submission Fee: $25 for submission

All fees will be used exclusively for the exhibition’s operational expenses.

Technical Requirements: For works involving technology or special equipment, clearly specify your needs in the entry form (e.g., projectors, computers, space requirements). Standard gallery equipment (monitors, projectors, internet access) can be provided for the exhibition, but any unique hardware or software should be noted in your submission.

Submission Deadline: Mon. March 31, 2025

Notification of Acceptance: Mon. April 7, 2025 – All artists will be contacted via email regarding the status of their submission. Accepted artists will receive further instructions for delivery or installation of their work.
