Fellowships at MGC Community Print Studio

Applications for Fall 2025 will be accepted: July 21 – August 21, 2025; 11:59pm (Eastern)

Fall Term: October 1-December 19, 2025.

MGC Community Print Studio awards 11 fellowships each year. Any artist who has not previously worked at MGC (i.e. taken a class, taught a class, served as a monitor, or purchased open workshop time) is eligible to apply. Printmaking experience is not required, and there is no fee to apply.

A fellowship consists of:

• Tuition waiver for class (either one long course or two workshops),
• Unlimited open workshop hours for one term,
• $125 materials reimbursement,
• Storage space for one term,
• MGC membership for one term (includes eligibility to participate in members’ events and exhibitions).
• Awardees also have the opportunity to deliver a public artist talk and make a donation of one print to the MGC archive after the conclusion of the Fellowship term.

ELIGIBILITY

MGC Printmaking Fellowships are intended for emerging through mid-career artists in the New York Area. Current college or university students are not eligible. Applicants’ financial need is also considered when awarding scholarships.

• A statement of up to 250 words which tells us how you found out about the Fellowship, discusses your of intentions for participating, and describes your financial need.

Any application which does not adhere to these criteria, or is submitted outside the dates specified below will not be considered.

Finalists will be invited for interviews with our Fellowship Committee, which is made up Fellowship alumni, studio members, and studio staff.
