Painting Space 122 Project Studio Program 2025

Painting Space 122, INC is currently accepting applications for the Project Studio Program.

Private studios are available for rent for a one year period starting August 1, 2025 through to July 30, 2026.

Application deadline is April 1, 2025 (end of day)

The program is open to professional fine artists who reside in the NYC metropolitan area.

The year concludes with a group exhibition of the project artists in PS122 Gallery.

Categories: painting, sculpture, mixed media, digital, drawing, installation

(spraying, welding and epoxy resins are not permitted)

Artists must live within reasonable commuting distance to the studio building, which is located in lower Manhattan.

The studios are work only (no living or commercial activity allowed).

Former project studio artists are eligible to reapply two years after their residency has ended.

Students are not eligible for this program.

Studio Description:

The 7 large studios range from 470 to 595 sq.ft. with ceiling height of 13’ 9”.

The 2 small studios available are 300 and 330 sq. ft. The two smaller studios have air circulation units in ceiling

Rents range from $740.00 for the smallest studio up to $1468.00 a month for largest studio.

The building is a non-smoking facility with 24 hour access and elevator service.

Rent includes all utilities, internet connection via ethernet and building insurance.

There is no sharing or subletting during the one year term.

Studios must be returned in original condition.
