Soaring Gardens Artists Retreat

"SOARING GARDENS ARTISTS RETREAT (Pennsylvania, USA) is accepting applications for residencies between May and October 2025 from visual artists in all media, writers, composers, and other musicians. Two years of professional experience are required.

Located near Laceyville, PA, one hour’s drive northwest of Scranton in beautiful dairy country, the facilities at SOARING GARDENS include a five-bedroom farmhouse and an adjoining studio building with two 720 sq. ft. studios, situated on 23 acres of land. Ten minutes away is a remodeled church from 1904, which combines studio and living spaces.

Residencies are for three weeks.

Although applications from individual artists are happily received, artists are encouraged to apply as a group. They may wish to work independently or collaboratively. Applicants from historically marginalized communities are particularly encouraged. Except for one weekly communal meal, residents purchase their own food and prepare their own meals. Transportation from the Scranton airport, the Scranton and Binghamton bus stations and for local shopping is provided. Covid vaccinations and booster shots are required.
