a performance event beyond grief is a continuous 24-hour immersive fundraising event raising awareness for those who lost everything in the Eaton and Palisades fires. It unites artists and the community through an exploration of the elements and cycles of grief, resilience, and renewal, providing space for communal mourning, transformation, and healing. Predicated on the elements of grief in a non-narrative, non-hierarchical format, the event features live performances, soundscapes, spoken word, and interactive installations. By transforming mourning into a creative act, a performance event beyond grief honors the complexities of loss while guiding participants toward connection, empowerment, and renewal. We are looking for performances with a duration of 5 minutes to 30 minutes.
