2025 Foundwork Artist Prize: International Open Call

The Foundwork Artist Prize is an annual juried award for emerging and mid-career artists working in any media. 

The 2025 honoree will receive an unrestricted $10,000 grant, virtual studio visits with each member of our jury cohort, and a published interview as part of the Foundwork Dialogues program.

Three artists will be named to the 2025 Short List.

Jurors:

The jury for the 2025 Foundwork Artist Prize includes highly acclaimed and visionary voices hailing from New York, Los Angeles, Boston, London, and Paris.

Carmen Hermo, Lorraine and Alan Bressler Curator of Contemporary Art, MFA Boston, Boston

Ebony Haynes, Senior Director, David Zwirner and 52 Walker, New York City

Lauren Mackler, Independent Curator, Writer, and Designer, Los Angeles

Antonia Marsh, Curator and Founder, Soft Opening, London 

Hugo Vitrani, Curator, Palais de Tokyo, Paris

The Prize is open to artists residing anywhere in the world with limited exceptions, and the deadline to register is 5:00 pm PT, September 26, 2025. 

To be considered, artists must maintain a published profile on the Foundwork website, with at least 6 artworks and an artist statement published on their profile page, throughout the selection period: 5:00 pm PT, September 26– 5:00 pm PT, December 31, 20235
