Solo Show Proposal Open Call at BAU Gallery, Beacon

For Artists 18 and over living in a 70 mile radius of Beacon NY

(all accepted works must be dropped off and picked up from the gallery)

Solo Show Proposals

BAU Gallery invites you to submit a solo show proposal at our gallery in Beacon NY. The

proposed show will be part of our July exhibitions schedule for the 2025 Upstate Art Weekend.

BAU Gallery is a platform for artistic expression. We champion the unique voices of artists,

providing a space for them to experiment, grow, and cultivate a thriving artistic practice.

As part of the exhibition requirements, BAU gallery asks that you are present during the

installation and deinstallation of the exhibition. We require that you attend the exhibition opening

and Upstate Art Weekend Artist talk and Meet and Greet events.

What is included in the solo exhibition- approximately 350 sq ft of exhibit space and 1

street-facing window, PR and marketing, inclusion in Upstate Art Weekend, opening reception, Artist talk.

Materials needed for Proposal:

You will need to upload your exhibition proposal with artist statement, exhibition title,

exhibition statement, and 10 images of your creative work that you intend to show with

accompanying documentation including title, media, dimensions, year and price as a

We suggest that your Artist Statement is written in the 3rd person (80-100 word). Your exhibition

statement should explain the concept, theme, and artistic intent behind the works to be

displayed, and provide context for us to better understand your vision and the overall narrative

of the exhibition.
