Collective Z is looking for two artists with a developed body of work and a serious, sustained practice.
This is a curated open call. Two artists will be selected, each given dedicated wall space to present a single body of work in depth. Not a salon, not a group show: two concentrated presentations under one roof, built around the work itself.
We are not looking for a response to a theme. We are looking for a practice with a clear point of view and the discipline to sustain it — a body of work that coheres across many pieces and rewards close, repeated looking. The exhibition will be titled and curated from the two bodies of work we select.
10 finalists will receive a studio visit (in person or virtual).
This is the beginning of a longer conversation. Collective Z represents its artists and presents them at significant fairs; we are using this call to find artists we want to work with well past August.
Who Should Apply
Artists at any stage, emerging to established, with a coherent body of work and a committed studio practice — painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, or sculpture. Selection is by juried review and studio visits with shortlisted finalists. Work must arrive in New York July 29–30 (shipping, delivery, packaging, and insurance are the artist’s responsibility). International artists welcome.
