March PleinAir Salon Online Art Competition

The 14th Annual PleinAir Salon is an online art competition with 12 monthly cycles, and is open to a variety of mediums and styles. It’s not just for plein air painters! We invite a variety of top master artists, museum directors and gallery owners to judge each month. All monthly winners are automatically included in the Annual Competition where the Grand Prize winner receives $15,000 and has their painting featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine, the #1 representational art magazine at Barnes & Noble. 

In addition to a total of $50,000 in ALL Cash Prizes, winners receive exposure and recognition through our various magazines, websites, newsletters and social media platforms. 

Annual Awards: $22,500 in CASH Awards 

• First Place: $15,000 cash prize and the cover of PleinAir Magazine. 
• Second Place: $3,000 cash prize and a feature in the digital edition of PleinAir. 
• Third Place: $1,500 cash prize.
• Three Honorable Mentions: $700 cash prize each.
• People’s Choice Award: $500
• Best Medium Awards (4): $400 each. 
• Plus, all winners will be showcased in PleinAir Magazine and the Plein Air Today e-newsletter.

Monthly Awards: $2,150 in CASH Awards EACH Month

• First Place: $600 cash prize and a feature in the Plein Air Today e-newsletter.
• Second Place: $300 cash prize
• Third Place: $200
• People’s Choice Award: $100
• Category Awards (19): $50 each

The Early Bird Discount ends on the 15th at 11:59pm. Enter before then and receive 25% off all entries. Just $29 for the first and $12 for each entry after that. The regular price is $38 for the first painting and $16 for each additional painting.
