Description

I am looking for a 3-month sublet for July 1st - September 30th (with a possibility to extend) in my spacious live/work apartment in Greenpoint near McGolrick Park.

For $2300, you’ll have:

  • Private 200 sq ft Bedroom (Partially Furnished)
  • Shared 400 sq ft Basement Workspace
  • Kitchen with dishwasher, stove, microwave, storage, and coffee
  • 1.5 Bathrooms
  • Utilities & Wifi Included
  • 12 minute walk to G, 15 minute walk to L
  • B24 & B48 stops a block in either direction
  • Grocery store ~7 blocks away, city park 5 blocks away
  • 500 Mbps mesh wifi
  • Limited Backyard Access with Patio Furniture

About you:

Looking for a responsible, communicative person who is comfortable sharing a live/work environment. This is ideal for a painter, photographer, designer, or anyone who needs more than a bedroom. Perhaps you're here for a residency, or a short-term project has brought you to town—this is a comfortable place to create and unwind, in a great neighborhood. Queer-friendly household.

The Bedroom:

Includes a Built in Desk with Office Chair, shelving, and a spacious closet. I can provide an air mattress, lamp, and A/C unit if needed. Lots of light, with nice studio lighting in the bedroom. It is adjacent to the Kitchen, basement stairs, and living room. The foyer has space to store a bicycle. 9’ ceiling.

The Basement Studio:

Roughly double the size of the Bedroom, this shared workspace houses my publishing business and studio practice. I typically work there most of the day, 4 days a week. I have plenty of equipment which you are welcome to use, including continuous lamps, seamless backdrops, H-Frame easel and some collapsible field easels, lightboxes, a high desk, stools, and tripods. Can arrange most of the space according to your needs. Nontoxic Materials only. 7’ ceiling.

The Rest of the space:

The Kitchen is fully stacked, you'll have access to anything you need to cook. The living room has a smart TV and couch which you can use. My bedroom is in the back of the apartment, and has outdoor access which you can use when I am awake. The backyard has a patio, seating for a few friends, and a couple hammocks to chill in.

About Me:

I am a cis/male artist and designer in my early 40s. I run my publishing business and studio practice in the basement 4 days a week, and have a balanced social life in the city. I use the living room to relax and entertain in the backyard occasionally. I keep a tidy home and will expect you to maintain our shared spaces. I will be your only roommate in the apartment.

Fine Print:

You’ll be signing a sublet agreement and responsible for a Security Deposit of a half month's rent. Quiet hours after 10p weekdays. No couples. No long-term overnight guests. No smoking indoors. No pets.

The space will be available to view after June 11th. Respond to this posting by sharing a bit about yourself and your practice, as I want to accommodate your stay in Greenpoint as best as possible.
