Quiet peaceful studio on four floors for painters, mixed media, writers. digital and graphic designers. Excellent working atmosphere, focused, intelligent, secure, low-density, responsible, friendly but not a social space. Open floor plan not partitioned with designated and undesignated work areas, well-ventilated, professional lighting, private garden, slop sinks, drafting tables, steel Klopfenstein easels and tabourets, high-speed internet, A/C and all amenities included in base price. Access is 24/7.
On the garden level, workstations are available for painting and mixed media ($500 and $575 per month).
The shared project room is available at $300 to $1225 or by arrangement depending on the specifics and length of the project. This is not a monthly rate, but a project specific rate for a set number of days or weeks.
On the 2nd floor, there is a large corner space is available for painting or design with two walls, 11' ceilings, easel, table, tabouret and chairs ($850/month).
On the new secluded 3rd floor, there are five spaces available: a large painting area with 11' ceilings and extensive wall space ($1075/month), an easel station ($475/month), a desk station at the front windows ($525/month), and a painting or photography station ($500/month).
Studio haus was established in 2008 and is located on Broome St between Forsyth and Eldridge, convenient to subways (B, D, 6, J, M, F, N, R) and buses, New Museum, ICP and many galleries (LES/Chinatown/Bowery/Nolita). We are associated with Galerie Shibumi at 13 Market Street.
Renting Requirements: 1st and last month upon registration, open-ended month-to-month within that framework, start any day of month. Three months minimum stay is required unless other arrangements are made. Reservations accepted with deposit for future arrival. Project specific rates for terms under three months are possible based upon availability; please inquire with your specifics.
