Mile High Catwalk is photography project that will culminate in a book and gallery exhibition of an unseen side of what makes Colorado beautiful.
I am captivated by fashion as art. Denver has a strong group of independent and forward thinking designers and it's time to give these creative the attention they deserve. Mile High Catwalk is photography project that will culminate in a book and gallery exhibition of a mostly unseen side of what makes Colorado beautiful. Interviews with designers, models and stylists and a narrative will be included in the book.
The aim of this project is to bring a greater awareness of the independent fashion designers of Denver through a combination of fine art and fashion photography. It's also designed to broaden the perspective of what constitutes much of what most think of when "Colorado photography" is mentioned i.e. mountains and landscapes.
You can view two samples from the "Modern Geisha" photo shoot for this project in the image gallery. Model Vi Jorgensen is wearing designs by Kimono Dragons from Denver designer, Francis Roces.
