ArcheTime Project

Olga Ast

ArcheTime project is an open-call cross-disciplinary conference, exhibition and film fest dedicated to exploring artistic, academic and scientific concepts of time.

Details

ArcheTime Project is a quest to discuss, debate, and, most importantly, deepen our understanding of and connection to time.

The first ArcheTime conference was held in June 2009 at the Tank Space for Performing and Visual Arts in NYC. Approximately sixty artists, scientists, architects, writers, poets, musicians and filmmakers from the New York area, Toronto, Amsterdam, Los-Angeles, Baltimore, Washington DC and other cities participated and attended the event. The exhibition was on view for ten days; the conference lasted for two. A record of the program is available at: www.archetime.net/program.html. The Journal of Abstracts and Artworks is available in PDF format at: www.archetime.net/art_abstracts/index.html

In 2010 - 2015 we organized several film screenings and discussions and participated in events, dedicated to the subject of time, at different venues, including EFA Project Space, the WIX Lounge, SET Gallery, the Philoctetes Center for the Multidisciplinary Study at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute, the New York University, the National Academy of Sciences, the Haber Space of Central Booking, and NYC Future Salon. We plan to organize the next conference and exhibition in 2017-2019.
