The application cycle for 2018 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowships is open, with applications being accepted through Wednesday, January 24, 2018. If you’re interested in applying, join NYFA for an application information session at Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA) on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 or at NYFA on Thursday, January 11, 2018 to review the application process and get your questions answered.

NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship

The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship offers unrestricted $7,000 cash awards granted in 15 different disciplines over a rotating three-year period, made to individual and collaborative artists living and work in New York State. These fellowships are intended to fund an artist’s vision or voice, regardless of the level of their artistic development.

The 2018 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship categories are:

  • Fiction
  • Folk/Traditional Arts
  • Interdisciplinary Work
  • Painting
  • Video/Film

The application deadline is Wednesday, January 24, 2018, 11:59 PM (EST), with no exceptions.

NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowships are administered with leadership support from New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
