Event | Programs for Interactive Media Makers at the Tribeca Film Institute

Join us on Thursday, November 9 to learn how Tribeca Film Institute supports independent interactive media.

They may be wondrous, exploding in popularity (or in the case of games, already the most popular form of entertainment there is) and demonstrably effective teaching tools, but support for independent interactive media remains much more difficult to find than for film and video. For years, the Tribeca Film Institute (TFI) has been leading the field with its programs for Interactive Media. This event, presented by Zeina Abi Assy, manager of Interactive Programs, will provide an overview of these programs, the application process involved for participating in them, and examples of some of the work that has resulted.

Tribeca Film Institute is a year-round arts organization that champions storytellers to be catalysts for change in their communities around the world. TFI’s Interactive department offers many programs including: New Media Fund, Prototype Fund, Sandbox, Tribeca Hacks, and more recently the CoLab.
