Archives and Documentary Storytelling
November 19 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm$15 – $20
Archival footage and photos can be powerful elements in telling historical and present-day stories. But archives can also lead to budget and rights issues that are important to anticipate as you craft your film. This presentation by Emmy and Peabody Award-winning filmmaker Peter Miller will cover practical issues of using archival materials in non-fiction filmmaking, including researching, duplicating, cataloging, and securing rights to images from a wide range of sources. We’ll also cover aesthetic and creative issues of interweaving historical materials into your narrative. Please click here for full details and to register via Eventbrite.
