Congratulations to our NYFA Fellows! 

Roxa Smith (Fellow in Painting ‘12) has work in a group exhibition, Interiors, at Flinn Gallery, 101 West Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, CT through March 11.  

Andrea Dezsö (Fellow in Printmaking/Drawing/Book Arts ‘07; NYFA Artist Advisory Committee) has a solo exhibition at Nancy Margolis Gallery, 523 W 25th Street, New York City through March 28.

Phillip Stearns (Fellow in Digital/Electronic ‘14) is part of Loominosity, an installation featuring six artists who use the loom as their primary creative tool, at Outlet Brooklyn, 253 Wilson Ave, Brooklyn, NY through March 29.

Claudia Sohrens (Fellow in Photography ‘10) has a multi-media installation, Paternoster, at A.I.R. Gallery, 111 Front Street #228, Brooklyn, NY through March 28.

Jen P. Harris (Fellow in Painting ‘12) has an installation, Codes, at Rockland Center for the Arts, 27 South Greenbush Road, West Nyack, NY through April 12. 

Charlotte Becket (Fellow in Crafts/Sculpture ‘14) is part of a group exhibition, BEYOND 1.1, curated by Mitra Khorasheh and Bethsabée Attaliat Tanja Grunert Gallery, 33A Orchard Street, New York City through April 19.

Dale Williams (Fellow in Printmaking/Drawing/Book Arts 2014) will be presenting Cage Dies Bird Flies, a project consisting of 81 paintings with associated performance done in collaboration with writer Ben Miller. Exhibition dates are March 27 – April 13; opening reception on March 27, 6:30 PM featuring a live performance at 7:30 PM at Gowanus Loft, 61 9th Street #C8 in Brooklyn. NYFA’s Artists’ Fellowship Program awards $7,000 unrestricted grants to individual artists in fifteen disciplines across New York State. NYFA’s Artists’ Fellowships are administered with leadership support from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State agency. Find out more here.
