Monday Motivation | It’s in the Details

Kick off your week with Monday Motivation!

Tip of the week

Congrats, you’ve came across your dream job through NYFA Classifieds! Now what? Our tip of the week for job seekers is a simple reminder to read and follow the application instructions closely. Employers often request that applicants send a cover letter and resume, but they may also request that applicants include the answer to a specific question, for example, or follow a certain format for the subject line of the application email. The employer may be using these detailed requests as a subtle first test for your ability to follow instructions. Taking care with your application is also an easy way to demonstrate that you are serious about the position. Noticing the details can help you to stand out when others applying may skim through and fail to submit what was requested.
