NYFA AT QUEENS ARTS CONNECTION

Professional Development Event for NYC Artists

Queens Council
on the Arts and Queens Museum’s Open A.I.R program are hosting Queens Arts Connection
(QAC)
on Saturday, April 25th at 2 PM. Queens Arts Connection is a
professional development event for artists to learn more about NYC arts services organizations and the business
of art.

The event is
open to the public and will be a great opportunity for artists to learn more
about the business of art, get feedback on their work, and network with dozens
of artists. Judy Cai, NYFA’s Program Associate of Asian Affairs, will represent
NYFA at the event.

Arts Connection arts service organizations include:

New York
Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), Kickstarter, Volunteer Lawyers of the Arts New York,
Fractured Atlas, Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning, Poets and Writers,
Creative Capital, Women Makes Movies, Green Space Studio, Dance NYC,
Indo-American Arts Council, Taiwanese-American Arts Council, Local Project,
Laundromat Project, Space works, Topaz Arts, Flux Factory, and The Field.

Queens
Arts Connection will also feature experts and arts service organizations
providing speed consulting across a range of subject areas important to
artists’ professional development including filing taxes, fundraising, and
acquiring affordable studio space. Registration for the consultations will be done
onsite the day of the event.
