Event | First Thursday Gallery Walk

See our newest exhibition, Informality, on Thursday, June 1 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at NYFA Gallery

NYFA Gallery is open late this Thursday, June 1 as part of DUMBO’s monthly First Thursday Gallery Walk, and we invite those in the NYC area to come by and see our latest exhibition, Informality. The show features dynamic works by 2016 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship Finalists in a variety of mediums, and is not to be missed!

While in DUMBO, be sure to visit our neighbors at The Made in NY Media Center’s Face Your Files exhibition to experience Eric Corriel’s (Fellow in Digital/Electronic Arts ‘09) on-site installation Enter The Machine. This work asks us to imagine a world where we could shrink ourselves down, swim around our hard drives, and meet our files face-to-face. It aims to provide a new way of seeing our digital files, one that does justice to their uniqueness, the diversity of the data they contain, and the complexity by which they are structured. Enter The Machine does this by turning a hard drive inside-out and putting its contents, in raw form, on display for us to see.
