The Center for Art Law will hold its inaugural Visual Artists’ Immigration Clinic at NYFA on Thursday, January 30 and Tuesday, March 24, 2020. The clinic is designed for emerging visual artists who are working towards obtaining a visa in the United States. Each day is a stand-alone session, do you do not need to attend both. The event is structured as follows: From 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM, there will be a presentation on best practices and practical steps you can take to build and strengthen your application case, focusing on O-1B visas especially. From 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM, participating artists will be paired with an immigration attorney for an initial 20-minute consultation, which may result in the opportunity to work with an immigration attorney throughout the application process.
