The Film Society of Lincoln Center presents NYFA Fellow Todd Haynes

We are excited to announce that the Film Society of Lincoln Center is presenting Todd Haynes: The Other Side of Dreams, a retrospective of Todd Haynes’ (Fellow ‘89) outstanding work. Starting Wednesday, November 18, a number of his films as well as a selection of films that inspired his work will be shown. Some events will be followed by a conversation with the director himself or other special guests.

Over the course of this event Haynes’ most recent film, Carol, written by Phyllis Nagy (Fellow ‘89) will also be presented. The movie starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara is highly recommended and will be released in the U.S. on November 20, 2015.

Early in their careers, Todd Haynes and Phyllis Nagy were awarded NYFA Fellowships.

“[The NYFA Fellowship] was part of that original support that laid the groundwork for that kind of faith in the work, and faith that there’s an audience out there — and that there’s a support system out there.” Todd Haynes, 2011

NYFA’s Artists’ Fellowship Program awards $7,000 cash grants to artists throughout New York State. The program is administered with leadership support from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State agency.
