The next no-fee fiscal sponsorship deadline is September 30. Join us on Facebook Live on Wednesday, August 29 to learn more and ask questions.

The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) helps artists and arts organizations of all disciplines access new opportunities to sustain creative projects and share them with their communities. With NYFA Fiscal Sponsorship, one of the oldest and most reputable programs of its kind in the country, you can dream bigger and expand your project or organization’s fundraising capacity.

Fiscal sponsorship allows you to utilize NYFA’s 501©(3) status to bridge the connection between your project and foundation and corporate grants. Fiscal sponsorship also allows you to incentivize individual donors with the benefit of a tax deduction.

Dedicated Consultant for Film and Media Projects

The creation of films and media projects follows a unique process and a specific set of needs. Our Film/Media Specialist Matthew Seig consults with our fiscally sponsored film and media projects from beginning to end.

Seig brings his experience from the film industry as a producer or director of over twelve films (both documentary and narrative) to his role advising our filmmakers and mediamakers. His guidance helps project directors understand their projects’ needs and scope within the context of the industry. This type of consultation is a core part of the Fiscal Sponsorship program.

“It seems whenever I found myself needing advice on a specific grant application or on my responsibilities and rights as a filmmaker, Matthew would supply it, always encouraging but never underestimating the potential obstacles that lie in the path of a traditional music history documentary filmmaker.” – Leslie Li, Director of The Kim Loo Sisters (Fiscally Sponsored Project)
